The Teapot- Forest Hill, London

A popular new cafe which has a great collection of vintage teapots! Delicious-looking cakes, a good deli, and extensive sandwich menu. It has a nice relaxed atmosphere, and very welcoming staff.

St. David's Coffee House- Forest Hill, London

Lovely new coffee shop located a short walk from the station. It has a very homely feel, and sells a great selection of cakes, pastries, and sandwiches. The millionaire's shortbread was especially good! A perfect place to go for a peaceful lunch or coffee break. The book exchange is a great feature... where you can swap your unwanted books with others. A much-needed addition to Forest Hill.

Roast- Borough Market, London

Great location and great views- overlooks Borough Market. Friendly staff, really good food and beautiful interior. This place is very unique, and perfect for a special occasion, or just after-work drinks.

The Tea Terrace- Battersea Park, London

Hidden away in the middle of Battersea Park. Good paninis and cakes

The Ritzy Cafe- Brixton

This newly renovated cafe is located on the ground floor of the Ritzy cinema in Brixton. It has outside seating which is particularly good for people-watching on a Saturday afternoon! The food is great, especially the pizzas. The relaxing atmosphere makes it a great place to visit.

Mon Petit Chou- Lordship Lane, East Dulwich

Small French cafe on Lordship Lane. Great location, good prices for the area and very friendly service.

The Dartmouth Arms- Forest Hill, London

Highly recommended restaurant- split into two sections, with bar at the front and restaurant at the back. Great food- the haddock fishcakes were really good. Nice atmosphere and a friendly welcome.

LEON- The Strand, London
This Mexican chain is a great place for light snacks and lunches- my favourite is the Sweet Potato Falafel Wrap. The food is served very quickly, yet nothing is lacking in the taste or the quality. The furniture has the style of an alternative American diner, and it is easy to see why LEON has quickly become so popular in the capital- there are now 8 branches in London.
